Care and Sizing Advice

Care Advice

We’ve designed and manufactured pieces that are made to last. If you look after them they will continue to live long and happy working lives within your wardrobe.

Natural fibres need a little more care and love than synthetic ones, a bit like the natural world does. Think of your clothing like a stunning English tea rose – happy at certain temperatures but make it too hot and it will wilt.

Our woollies can be machine washed HOWEVER before bunging it in the machine, maybe consider hanging it out in the fresh air for a day. This is much better all round – saves water, electricity and money AND better for the lifespan of your woollies. Spot cleaning for marks is also a good options before you banish it to the washing basket.

When washing your woollies we strongly recommend a wool cycle or a delicates cycle, no hotter than 30° with a mild detergent. We also recommend that the spin cycle is gentle. Lastly, please never tumble dry or dry directly on a radiator, or your stuffed animals may have a new jumper! Lay flat or hang to dry to keep it looking its best. For hand washing we recommend warm water and a mild detergent.

A top tip! When washing your 100% woollies you can add 3 or drops of baby oil into your wash to keep the wool looking its best.

Our tees and long sleeve tops are made using organic cotton. Because it's not been chemically treated, you may find that, very occasionally, this fibre shrinks. However, if you follow the care advice this should be a very minimal amount. We recommend 30° on a gentle cycle and never tumbled. If you do feel the need to get any erroneous creases out, we recommend a hand held steamer. If you don't have one of those you could always pop it on a hanger in your bathroom so that when you're having a shower the steam helps to ease out any creases.

Responsible for our Rubbish

We'd love to see you in person, have a chat AND avoid any packaging altogether, however we know that isn't possible. The packaging we have used has been selected with our environment at the forefront of our minds.

Warehouse bags

Your order will arrive wrapped and packed by us but looking slightly naked without a plastic wrapping on it. We have reached an agreement with our suppliers to cut out the individual plastic bags that each product comes in, due to the sheer amount of waste this creates. Instead they are sent to us in one big compostable bag, whilst not perfect, it does keep the moisture out during transit and then sits nicely in our compost heap ready for the veggies in a few years time.

Tissue Paper

We want every order to feel special, so we do indulge in a bit of tissue paper. Open it carefully and reuse it for gifts or crafts! Or if you can't wait to get into that order it can be recycled in standard paper recycling bins.

Cotton Bags

Made from unbleached cotton and hand stamped here at HQ, these can be reused for packing cubes, dust bags, wash bags... the list goes on. If you don't want it anymore then please contact us - we are more than happy to have them back to reuse again.

Carboard Mailer Boxes

Open it carefully and reuse it  for another parcel or crafts! Or if you can't wait to get into that order it can be recycled in standard paper recycling bins.

Compostable Mailer Bags

These are made from corn starch bio-polymers. The corn is sustainably grown and sourced. Open it carefully and reuse it for another parcel!

When it's lifespan is up this can be added to home compost or added to collection bins. Or, if you have kerbside food recycling, you can place your bag in with this.
